Our stay at the East Coast Retreat was wonderful! This was a fantastic place for everyone to stay together in Portland. The location is beautiful and very walkable to the Old Port area. Steve, our host, was incredibly responsive from start to finish. He checked in with us before our stay and reached out shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was going well, which we really appreciated. With the larger group, we had requested an extended table space for meals, and everything was set up when we arrived!Our only suggestion would be to consider providing a few extra towels, pillows, and blankets for larger groups. We would definitely recommend East Coast Retreat to others visiting the area!
Great stay and amazing hosts! They came up with fun group activities to do like a private in-house chef! Beautiful place to stay near the water

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the West End Penthouse! Steve and Kristen were a delight to communicate with and went above and beyond to make checkout seamless for us (preparing all pull-out beds, allowing us to store our bags a bit earlier than check in, etc.). The space itself is beautiful, clean, bright, and perfect for our group of fourteen girls - with ample bathroom space, comfortable beds, clean and usable kitchen, and a cozy living space. The location was perfectly walkable to all of our activities - brunch, shopping, nightlife, yoga... you name it! We were so sad to leave this beautiful home and would stay again in a heartbeat. For those considering a stay, know that the in-person space is even BETTER than the images and virtual tour online (something I've never experienced for an Airbnb!). Amazing place to stay!
Great location and plenty of space for a large group. Would certainly recommend to anybody looking to stay in downtown Portland.
The listing was great! We were a group of 11 girls and it was an amazing space for a bachelorette party. The living room had lots of room to hang out and between the two kitchens there were plenty of glasses/silverware. The photos on the listing also don’t do it justice because it’s even more interesting to see in person!
Steve and Kristen's place is ideally located, well furnished, and carefully cleaned. They provided great communication and made the check-in and check-out process easy. The upstairs apartments were the perfect accommodation for our group of 8 people and provides a great home-base that's walking distance to everything in downtown Portland. Highly reccommend!
We had an amazing stay in Portland! The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, and totally updated. It was so fun to explore Portland by foot, everything was walkable from this location. Checking in and out was super easy, would absolutely recommend to friends!
Wonderful weekend stay in Portland for 10 ladies. The units were clean and decorated so nicely with coastal touches. Walking distance to many restaurants in the area, or a very short (5 minute) Uber if you prefer. The hosts were very responsive and attentive to detail. Thanks for a great stay!

5 friends from high school had a very good time at this AirBnB. We were located perfectly to explore the city on foot. The accommodations were perfect for our needs and I would gladly recommend this home to anyone looking to visit Portland!
Wonderful accommodations and great location. Easy walk to the downtown area. Host could not have been nicer. We had a schedule conflict which he quickly resolved and responded quickly to our questions. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend this rental and host.
I stayed here with a group of 9 for my bachelorette party, and it was absolutely perfect! Kristen was SO helpful and responsive. The two units are right across the hall from one another, and there was plenty of space to gather in the living room and at the dining table. The location was super walkable and the building is gorgeous! Highly recommend!
Beautiful apartments in a beautiful city!
The place is beautiful, in a lovely part of Portland, and spacious. Steve and Kristen are wonderful hosts - they are friendly and responsive. I highly recommend, especially for larger parties. Would absolutely stay here again.
Steve and Kristen were extremely responsive hosts - usually responding within minutes with clear instructions. Consistent with other feedback I've left in my other reviews, despite a cleaning fee there is still some clean-up required prior to check out, but compared with other Airbnb experiences, it was minimal and did not take long. The apartment itself is very consistent with the photos. There are clean and updated appliances and the units are well cared for and well ventilated. Plenty of clean towels. The TVs are new and up to date, and the fireplace adds great ambiance. Overall would highly recommend this location for a Portland vacation, and want to reiterate that Steve and Kristen are fabulous hosts.
Had a great stay in Portland—this Airbnb was awesome and just what we needed. We were traveling with a group of 10 guys and there was enough room for everyone to comfortably sleep and spread out in all the common areas. It’s been re-done recently, and the kitchens and bathrooms were all really nice. It was a short walk from all of the bars and restaurants, as well as just down the street to the water. Neighborhood was quiet and a nice street of houses. Steven and Kristen were really responsive and gave clear instructions and details throughout our stay. Would recommend to anyone visiting Portland, especially big groups!
This place is ideally located in a historical area of Portland. The area and house are historic and absolutely exceed all expectations of New England charm. On top of that, the house was recently renovated and so absolutely spotless, comfortable, and convenient. Oftentimes fitting 12 can mean 8 on Airbnb…but that wasn’t the case here! The futon and couch were both very comfortable and private so even though we were a smaller group I would definitely recommend for up to 12. Best thing about it all was there were Nests in every room and so none of the typical temperature control issues you get in old houses. Check in was seamless and hosts super responsive. Would recommend 100x!

This is a great place to stay for a bachelorette party! We rented the whole top floor of the house (which is two different apartments) so the bride and MOH had their own private space (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room) while the rest of the group stayed in the larger apartment (this had a big living room and kitchen that was perfect for us all to hang out in). The space was just renovated, extremely clean, and the beds were really comfortable. The location was perfect - a short 15 min walk from downtown or a 3 min Uber ride - and the hosts were very responsive. We would definitely stay again!
